Teaote and the Wall is a children’s book written by myself and illustrated by the ridiculously talented Stacey Bennett.

It tells the story of my Mum (Teaote) and her battle to build a sea wall around her home, so that the rising ocean stops flooding her house.

Teaote and the Wall is a colourful, detailed and educational book for little ones.

Set in Kiribati and telling a Kiribati story, this tale is one of many that describes what it’s like to live with the direct threat of climate change.

This book was published through the support of crowd-funding and I am forever in debt to the wonderful people who pledged their hard-earned $$ to make this book a reality.
